Learning about Tetrominoes in Maths this week

Tetrominoes in Maths in the Senior Classroom: 

In the senior classroom we’ve been focusing on problem solving for a session each week to develop and improve our problem solving skills.  We recently spent an hour learning about tetrominoes & explored the concept using small squares. We explored how to create several tetrominoes using the following rules:

 

• You must use 4 squares
• They must be connected
• One full edge must touch
