Today we welcomed the Seatbelt Sheriff from the RSA to our school. The children engaged remarkably well & displayed their indepth knowledge of all aspects of road safety. They discussed and collaborated with the seat belt sheriff in an active and fun way, but most importantly, they listened to and extended their knowledge on the reasons we all need to wear seat belts and on all aspects of road safety. They also discussed the need for helmets and high vis vests to be worn.
Without a doubt the key message of STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN was the most important take away point from the presentation.
You'll be glad to know that everyone in Carns NS passed the Sheriff's quiz and were awarded the prestigious award of becoming sheriff's!
